地元岐阜県高山市を英語による紹介！

今回で３０記事になりました。なので、今回は番外編と題して僕の地元高山市を英語で紹介しようと思います。英語力はまだまだですが勉強も兼ねてやってみました。たくさんミスがあるとは思いますので、教えてもらえると幸いです。

↓下の写真は２０１８年の春の高山、夜桜を見に出掛けた時にあまりに綺麗だったので撮った一枚です。

I try to introduce about takayama-shi in english today.

takayama is my hometown.I lived in there for 20 years. There is my favorite place,but to be honest I don’t like living here when I was child because there are not exciting thing for child. As I get order I can recognize my hometown’s charm. it’s beautiful nature and friendly person.I’m in NewZealand now but I want to do anything for Takayama in the future. 

今回は高山市を英語で紹介してみます。高山市は僕の地元です。20年間住んでいました。今では大好きな所ですが、正直に言うと、子供の頃はここでの生活があまり好きではありませんでした。子供が興味がそそられるものがなかったからです。ですが年を取るにつれて高山の魅力が分かるようになってきました。美しい自然や親切な人たちも魅力の一つです。僕は今ニュージーランドにいますが、将来的には何か高山市のためになるようなことをしたいと思っています。

Takayama’s information

Takayama is in Gifu of Japan.There are approximately 87 thousand people and there is the biggest city in Japan.More than a milion tourists come there every years to see traditional building from Edo era. And there was stage of Kiminonaha (animation movie) in 2016,so there was more crowed than usual. Development is being promoted in the town along with an increase in tourists. Also The staion is rebuild new one last year.

高山は日本の岐阜県の中にあります。そこには役８万７千人の人が住んでいて日本で一番大きい市です。毎年、江戸時代に作られた伝統的な建物を見に１００万人を超える観光客が来ています。そして、２０１６年には、映画「君の名は」の舞台になったため一層にぎわいました。観光客の増加に伴い、町では開発が進んでいて昨年には駅が改築されました。

My reccomended time is spring or autunm.because you can see Takayama festival.It’s one of the three major beautiful festival in Japan. you can see a lot of  beutiful Yatai there. and in the evening parade of Yatai begins.I have seen it many times but it is always beautiful everytimes.

観光におすすめの時期は春と夏です。なぜなら、高山祭がみられるからです。高山祭は日本三大美祭に一つで、美しい屋台を見ることができます。夜になると屋台の曳き揃えがあり、僕も何度も見たことがありますが、いつみても本当に美しいです。

food

I’ll introduce the food that you should eat when you come to Takayama.My reccomendation are Sake, Mitarashi dango and Hida beef.

• Sake

Sake in takayama is famous in Japan.It’s made by clear water of north alps and high quality rice.I hardly drink Sake so I don’t know well about Sake. But a lot of tourist come to Takayama to get sake. My father was Touji.Touji is a person who make Sake.He always have to get up early to coufirm about condition of Sake.I think this is the hardest job I’ve ever heard.

• Mitarasi-dango

Mitarasi-dango is popular snack in Takayama. this is sticky rice flour ball dipped in soy sause.you can buy 60～90 yen.My reccmendation is that there are rolled by seaweed.

• Hida beef

you absolutely should eat it when you come to Takayama.It’s so expensive but it’s delicious.I could eat only a special day in my house as  a celebration.

ここでは、高山に来たら食べるべき食べ物を紹介したいと思います。僕のおすすめは酒、みたらし団子、飛騨牛です。

• 酒

高山の酒は日本でも有名です。これらは北アルプスのきれいな水と高品質の酒米によって作られています。僕はほとんど酒を飲まないので詳しくはわかりませんが、たくさんの観光客が高山の酒を求めてやってきます。僕の父親は杜氏でした。杜氏とはお酒を造る人のことを言います。父は毎朝は酒の状態を確認するために毎日朝早く出勤する必要がありました。僕の知る限り杜氏という職業はかなり大変な仕事です。

• みたらし団子

みたらし団子は高山では人気のお菓子です。これは団子を醤油に漬けたものです。僕のおすすめはこれを海苔で巻いたものです。

• 飛騨牛

これは是非高山に来たら絶対食べるべきです。とても高価ですが、とてもおいしいです。ちなみに、僕の家では特別な日だけに食べることができました。

Souvenir

I think the most popular souvenir in Takayama is Sarubobo.I have worn it as protect since I arrived in NewZealand. Sarubobo mean baby of monkey.It is said that there is easy delivery and amulet. And it looks like cute.

高山で一番で有名なお土産はさるぼぼだと思います。僕もニュージーランドについてからもお守りとして身に付けています。さるぼぼはサルの赤ちゃんを意味しており、安産や魔除けの効果があるといわれています。そしてとても可愛いです。

振り返り

今回は英語での地元紹介に挑戦してみましたが、想像以上に難しくgoogle翻訳の力を借りながらの紹介でした。どちらもどこかぎこちない文体ですが、日本語以外で自分の地元を紹介できるというのは、中々うれしいものです。もちろん高山の魅力はこんなものではありません。まだまだあるので、またどこかで書きたいですね。
